Day by Day Itinerary
Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
When you land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our guide will meet you after you clear immigration. After quick introductions and a travel briefing, you'll head north to Samburu National Reserve—a beautiful, off-the-beaten-path park with incredible wildlife and fewer crowds. Check in at Ashnil Samburu Camp for lunch, then head out for an afternoon game drive through Samburu's striking landscapes and unique animals. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Game Viewing in Samburu National Reserve
Start your day with breakfast before heading out for a morning game drive in Samburu National Reserve. You'll look for elephants, big cats, and Samburu's special wildlife—Grevy's zebras, reticulated giraffes, Somali ostriches, gerenuks, and Beisa oryx. Head back to camp for lunch, then go out again in the afternoon for more game viewing across the reserve's beautiful landscapes. After a full day with the wildlife, enjoy dinner and overnight at camp.
Samburu National Reserve to Aberdare National Park
Start early with a transfer to Aberdare National Park, driving through Kenya's beautiful central highlands. Stop along the way to see tea and coffee plantations and visit Karatina—East Africa's largest open-air market—for a taste of local life. Aberdare is home to elephants, black rhinos, leopards, spotted hyenas, olive baboons, colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs, and bushbucks. If you're lucky, you might spot rarer animals like giant forest hogs, bongos, golden cats, servals, African wildcats, civets, or blue duikers. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Aberdare National Park to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park through the Great Rift Valley. The lake is famous for its thousands of pink flamingos that line the shores—an incredible sight. Arrive for check-in and lunch at your lodge, then relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Look for lions, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalos, and both black and white rhinos. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and overnight.
Lake Nakuru National Park to Masai Mara National Reserve
After an early breakfast, meet your driver-guide for a briefing before heading to the Masai Mara. Watch for wildlife like impalas and giraffes along the way. Arrive at Loyk Mara Camp for check-in and lunch, then relax before your first game drive in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Look for the Big Five and plenty of other wildlife before returning to camp for dinner and overnight, surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.
Game Viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve
Choose between morning and afternoon game drives with meals at camp, or take a packed lunch for a full-day adventure. Head out after breakfast to explore the endless savannahs teeming with wildlife. The Masai Mara is famous for the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—plus plenty of plains game and predators. Watch for warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, antelopes, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles along the Mara River. Return to camp in the late afternoon for dinner and a relaxing evening sharing the day's best moments.
Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Nairobi. You'll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight home, carrying unforgettable memories from your safari. Until next time, safari njema.
